What Emotion Goes with Each of the EFT Tapping Points?

Did you know that tapping on the EFT collar bone point, can stimulate adrenal function? Or that tapping on the karate chop point will help you stop worrying?

Here are the meridians and emotions that correspond to the EFT tapping points This example is based on the shortcut method of tapping.

Karate Chop Point (KC) - Small Intestine Meridian

Releases: Feeling stuck or frozen, psychological reversal, inability to let go of old ways, resistance to change, sorrow, worry, feeling vulnerable, obsession and compulsive behavior.

Allows: Ability to move forward, healing from grief, letting go of the old, finding happiness in and connecting to the present moment.

Top of Head Point (TH) - 'Hundred Meeting Points' Meridian

Releases: Inner critic, lack of focus and 'gerbil wheel' thinking.

Allows: Insight, intuition, spiritual connection, focus, wisdom, spiritual discernment and clarity.

Eyebrow Point (EB) - Bladder Meridian

Releases: Trauma, hurt, sadness, restlessness, impatience, frustration, restlessness and dread.

Allows: Inner peace and emotional healing.

Side of Eye Point (SE) - Gall Bladder Meridian

Releases: Rage, anger, resentment, fear of change and muddled thinking.

Allows: Clarity, compassion and understanding.

Under Eye Point (UE) - Stomach Meridian

Releases: Fear, anxiety, worry, emptiness, nervousness and disappointment.

Allows: Contentment, calmness, feeling safe… "All is well'.

Under Nose Point (UN) - Governing Meridian

Releases: Embarrassment, shame, guilt, grief, fear of ridicule, powerlessness, fear of failure and psychological reversals.

Allows: Self-empowerment, self-acceptance and compassion.

Chin Point (CH) - Central Meridian

Releases: Confusion, uncertainty, embarrassment, shame  and second guessing decisions.

Allows: Certainty, clarity, self-confidence and self-acceptance.

Collar Bone Point (CB) - Kidney Meridian - Adrenals

Releases: Psychological reversal, worry, indecision, feeling stuck and general stress.

Allows: Ease in moving forward, confidence and clarity.

Under Arm Point (UA) - Spleen Meridian

Releases: Guilt, obsessing, worry, hopelessness, insecurity, and poor self esteem.

Allows: Clarity, confidence, relaxation and compassion for self and others.

What's the point? Since EFT consists in one quick routine (Gary's major improvement on TFT) no matter what the problem is, what's the point of matching emotions and acupoints? It looks like it takes us back to diagnosis, from which Gary's research helped us get away.
Thanks for this fascinating look at the EFT points, Karen. I haven't seen the "Allows" part of this before, but it makes perfect sense that if a point releases one thing it would allow for another. Several clients have asked about the relationship between specific points and specific emotions. Nice to have this handy reference for them.
